UMVAILM began in 1983 as a local chapter of NAILM (now ALM). Processing textiles has changed throughout the past 40+ years and so has UMVAILM. Today, we strive to provide networking, informational, and educational sessions to support all aspects of the textile care industry. We are excited to share best-practices with one another in this field and are eager to see what innovations the future holds. We are eager to welcome new members who wish to learn from the best and teach us new things too!

Introducing Vicky Vessey, a seasoned professional with 26 years of dedicated service to Textile Care Services (TCS) in Rochester, MN. Throughout my journey, I've proudly served as a beacon of knowledge, guiding the industry towards excellence. My passion for learning and growth led me to join UMVALM's education committee back in 2002, a role that has allowed me to contribute to the collective wisdom of our community.
I held the esteemed position of Chapter Vice President from 2004 to 2019, where I fostered connections and forged collaborations that elevated our industry. Today, as the Chapter President since 2019, I continue to steer our community towards new horizons.
My journey has been marked by milestones of achievement. In 2000, I proudly earned my CLLM certification, a testament to my dedication and expertise. Embracing the spirit of continuous improvement, I acquired my MHLM certification in 2022, solidifying my position as a trailblazer in the field.
ALM has been my trusted companion throughout this remarkable journey. It's a platform that doesn't just offer knowledge and connections but nurtures a sense of belonging that's truly invaluable. Here's to ALM, where our shared passion transforms into collective success, and where learning is a journey we cherish together.
